Disaster historian John Withington is a former radio and
television reporter and producer.
He has covered many disasters - such as the Birmingham pub bombings and the AIDS epidemic in Africa. John has made more than 40 television documentaries, and his work has appeared on all five terrestrial UK television networks.
He has written for numerous newspapers and magazines such
as the Daily Express, Guardian, Observer and Independent.
A history graduate from Oxford University, John is now one of
the UK's leading disaster history specialists. He also works as
a communications trainer and consultant.
